Originally uploaded by ericsenf. I stopped by the Mall of America Apple Store last night to pickup my Mac Book Pro. I seem to have fried the logic board in it after a month of ownership. I have been reading about the thermal paste issues, though more recently, have read that re-application of the paste doesn't make significant difference. I will chalk this up to a bum system.

Apple has released the MacBook, the upgrade to the popular consumer iBook. This offers an Intel Core Duo processor, built-in iSight and Front Row. The prices start at $1099 and go up to $1499. I still dig my MacBook Pro, but this is an impressive system for the price and my Core Duo Macs are extremely fast systems for many compute tasks I have recently thrown at them.
